The critically-acclaimed epic adventure Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion will air on ABC on Sunday, October 26 (7:00 p.m. ET/PT). We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones.”

Original Post: In an article from USA Today, Dave Filoni openly teases the possibility that Darth Vader will appear in Star Wars Rebels.

Kanan and his pals aren’t enough of a pain for Kallus to ring Lord Vader yet. Still, Filoni wouldn’t mind getting James Earl Jones into a recording studio and bringing him back to the Dark Side.

“We have a nice history of honoring the great legacy characters,” Filoni teases. “It would be a shame never to have Darth Vader in the show, I’ll say that much.”

In addition to the tease regarding Darth Vader in Rebels, the USA Today article contains an exclusive clip of Inquisitor vs. Kanan. Click here to check it out and read more from Dave Filoni!

Update 10/6/2014: Brooks Barnes of the New York Times posted the following information on his Twitter account this evening:

It remains to be seen whether Brooks means that “Spark of Rebellion” will air on ABC and contain a new scene with Darth Vader or if it will be a new episode of Star Wars Rebels that features a scene with Darth Vader. Either way, very interesting!
